Pilapil said that research is his second love, adding research should always be a shared commitment and collaborative effort.  Initiated by a neurology group, this particular research work was sourced from multiple centers.

“I can’t thank my mentors enough – Drs. John Anonuevo, Jaime Aherrera, Abrahan Yobs Punzalan, and Denver Tiongson, because they are the greatest influencers in my pursuits.”

A senior Cardiology Fellow in Training at UP-PGH, Pilapil also emerged as the 53rd PHA Annual Convention YIA at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in May 2023.

Pilapil, a consistent ace student, who has an impressive list of research work that he authored and co-authored, will pursue adult congenital and structural heart disease.
