GMA takes a bold risk in presenting their newest line of primetime artists in Kahit Nasaan Ka Man

Friendship, family, and love will be tested in Kahit Nasaan Ka Man, as the sins of the past begin to affect the present and their future, and music becomes their only escape. Such is the catchy teaser of GMA Network’s newest prime time offering: Kahit Nasaan Ka Man starring today's generation of talented stars headed by Julie Anne San Jose, Kristoffer Martin and Lucho Ayala, all three marking their first lead roles in a primetime series. The series focuses on the journey of Leandro (Kristoffer Martin) and Pauline (Julie Anne San Jose) in fulfilling their dreams despite the hindrances such as poverty and disability. As their love for music brings them together, family conflict will surface and try to break them apart. At early age, Leandro will experience a lot of difficulties in life. At nine, his father was shot during a demolition and his mother Rita (Rita Avila) will abandon him in a waiting shed. Leandro is left with his father's guitar. In order to survive, Leandro sells the guitar and eventually learns how to steal. One day, Leandro and his friends steal a clutch bag and leads him to hide in the backyard of the Gomez family. In there, he hears the voice of a talented blind lady named Pauline. Sharing the same passion for music, Leandro decides to secretly visit her every night until Pauline's Lolo Tino (Ronaldo Valdez) and Tita Medel (Yayo Aguila) caught him and eventually sends him to an orphanage. When he got the chance to escape, he comes back to Pauline's house only to find out that she already left.
Lost and got nowhere to go, leandro decides to end his life but Theresa (Eula valdez) fortunately saves him. with the help of her mother Lola Corazon (Tessie Tomas), Theresa is able to send Leandro to school. Graduating valedictorian in his high school class, the teenaged Leandro (Kristoffer Martin) is excited to begin his new life in college–having been given the opportunity to audition for a prestigious music department in a state university. But when Theresa finds out what he is planning, she adamantly opposes his plans. And so Leandro is forced to keep his musical dreams restrained to poetry–poetry that gets commissioned by a new friend, John (Lucho Ayala), who has finally found the courage to court his childhood best friend–Pauline (Julie Anne San Jose). Although John finds Leandro’s poems a little cheesy, he thinks highly enough of them to give the words to Pauline–who, in turn, loves Leandro’s writing, and gives them melody, making songs out of them. Songs she records because of a misguided dream unwittingly given by her loving grandfather Tino (Ronaldo Valdez). Pauline’s father Ernest (Michael de Mesa) has been in jail for around a decade now, for a single mistake that took the lives of two innocent people. Pauline thinks, because of Tino’s vague answers about clemency and presidential pardons, that if she becomes a successful and popular singer, she can ask the President for her father to be released from jail. For this to happen, Pauline needs John’s help to make her famous.
And to help Pauline, John will turn to Leandro. Not knowing that by doing so, he is bridging the gap between two souls who has longed for each other since they were children. Not knowing that he is creating his own rival when he introduces Leandro to Pauline. But John has made his intentions for Pauline clear to Leandro. And Pauline has made her stand clear to John, that she sees him only as a friend. Where will Leandro put himself between the two? Will there still be a chance for Leandro and Pauline to continue their love despite the problems between their families? Will they keep on making beautiful music together? Kahit Nasaan Ka Man had its pilot episode on September 23, replacing Anna Karenina. The series is helmed by Gil Tejada, Jr, with the production team of Mundo Mo’y Akin, and the creative team of My Husband’s Lover headed by Suzette Doctolero. Julie Anne, a former member of Popstar kids is talent personified: she sings, raps, composes songs; she plays the drums, piano, guitar, flute, lyre, keyboard, violin, ukulele and xylophone. Before her own primetime show, Julie has similarly been the voice of many themesongs of GMA shows like Dyesebel, The Last Prince, Pilyang Kerubin, Sisid, Dwarfina, Broken Vow, Paroa and Teen Gen. She also had her share of hit in the You Tube when she did her own version of Super Bass before finally having her own concert in May this year dubbed It's My Time. Still she dreams to fill the Araneta Coliseum for a concert, to show the different side of Julie Anne and maybe perform a duet with her idols Lea Salonga or Mariah Carey or Chris Brown. Meantime, her concentration would be her primetime show as it is another dream come true for the young performer. “I’m taking it as challenge, part of growing up as performer. I am overwhelmed but I will do my best to deliver what is expected me,” Julie Anne said during the press conference. Good luck to GMA and to its new primetime artists: Julie Anne, Kristoffer and Lucho!

Building a robust national ICT infrastructure

The opportunities from digital innovations were accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic as limitations on mobility prompted citizens to accelerate migration to digital spaces. However, with increasing connectivity comes increasing cyber threats. That’s why efficient solutions and infrastructure are essential in combating cyber threats and ensuring business survival. Individually, Filipinos are susceptible to data breaches and privacy violations online.
