The roar of spinning tops and the collective gasp of spectators confirm that competitive Beyblade is not merely a nostalgic pastime in the Philippines. From the crude Filipino toy called Trumpo to the modern Beyblade Burst series, beyblading has attracted sporting communities spanning casual Blader meetups in local neighborhoods to sanctioned, high-stakes tournaments. This growth is marked by a deep commitment to the sport’s rules and mechanics, drawing enthusiasts from diverse geographic communities, including dedicated factions in provinces outside of Metro Manila.

Former child actress, Star Villareal, with her husband Dash
Chua have joined this community through the SHX team sharing the joy with other
players over this childhood game. The team joined other beyblade communities
for a cause hosted by Cabalen Reapers at Retro Seoul Roller Skates Angeles City
last September 28, 2025.
“With the incredible support of the blader community over
the past few months, we've accumulated a large fund from all our previous
tournaments. As a way of giving thanks and giving back, we're hosting a special
Tournament for a Cause with a huge prize pool!” the group said.
“All accumulated funds from this tournament will be given
to the beneficiary: a 5-year-old strong little girl residing in Purok 4,
San Juan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga named Pia Franchesca M.
Quizon who is bravely fighting her battle with leukemia.”
Indeed, these communities prioritize fair play, technical
knowledge of parts and weight distribution, and the camaraderie unique to the
hobby, cementing Beyblade as a legitimate, strategy-intensive competitive sport.
But most importantly, they have the heart to give back to communities and
people who needed help the most.
Congratulations, Cabalen Reapers, the SHX team, and all the bey
bladers for a job well-done!
