Ryan Agoncillo: Ang Pinoy mahilig sa picture-picture!

Saturday nights would be a lot of fun with the addition of newest game show- PICTURE! PICTURE! over at the Kapuso network. The program premieres November 23 after 24 Oras Weekend. Program host Ryan Agoncillo reveals, “This [Picture! Picture!] is my first time to do a game show, like a proper game show, with just me as host so medyo doon, nangangapa pa. It’s very exciting.” “It’s a very good thing that I have a very good team that I’m working with, the team of Direk Rico Gutierrez and our pool writers headed by Senedy Que. It's just a matter of seeing how I fit into their framework,” he adds. What makes Picture! Picture! stand out from the other game shows out there? “The best part is, this is an original concept, not a franchise show. So this is a new show that we’re giving birth to. So basically, every little thing is new to everyone. That’s very exciting.” Picture! Picture! comes timely that Oxford dictionary has chosen 'selfie' to be the word of the year and have included it in its online edition. This shows that people from all races are fond of taking pictures either of themselves or others as well.
“Ang Pinoy mahilig sa picture-picture! It was a statistic that almost 80 percent of the photos uploaded on Facebook is from Filipinos. Instagram, I don’t have the stats but I’m sure we’re major in Instagram, so major tayo sa picture-picture. Sigurado akong malapit ito sa puso natin,” he states. How Picture! Picture! works: Picture! Picture! will show viewers how photos can be emotionally engaging, eliciting wide range of emotions. The experience is made more fun as four contestants play as a team and take their chance to win as much as half a million pesos by correctly answering 10 picture-aided questions with only 30 seconds to come up with an answer. After a set of three questions, the team must eliminate one member. The first person to buzz in and give the correct answer will have the power to kick out a player. In answering a kick out question, the player’s first answer will be considered his/her last answer. Making Picture! Picture! extra thrilling is the “Back Ups” option which will help the team survive the game. First is Twin Picks where the team is allowed to choose two answers from the three choices. They can use this only once anytime during the game except in the last question. The Save Pic, on the other hand, is the team’s extra life. If they give the wrong answer, they will be automatically saved and will be allowed to continue playing. The game is over when the remaining players either make a mistake or reach the final question. For the jackpot question, the player must give his/her answers to the five pictures shown within the 60 seconds time limit. If the game ends and there’s still time, a new team will play.
During the media lunch/press conference, four lucky showbiz media personalities played the game and had a grand time winning for themselves cash prizes: 3,5,7 and 10 thousand each!

Building a robust national ICT infrastructure

The opportunities from digital innovations were accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic as limitations on mobility prompted citizens to accelerate migration to digital spaces. In the Philippines, these changes are evident in the growth of digital payment systems, online meeting platforms, electronic health services, online retail, direct delivery services, and many others. However, with increasing connectivity comes increasing cyber threats. That’s why efficient solutions and infrastructure are essential in combating cyber threats and ensuring business survival. Individually, Filipinos are susceptible to data breaches and privacy violations online.
