The original Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green video games, launched in Japan in 1996 for the Game Boy platform. Celebrating this milestone, the Pokémon Company hosted a highly anticipated press conference and preview on July 7 in Manila, making major milestone announcements for some first-ever series of events and activities debuting in the Philippines: Pokémon RUN 30, “Celebrate 30 years of Pokémon at SM Malls” event, the limited-time Pokémon Center POP-UP STORE at SM Mall of Asia, and PokéXciting! in Manila.
Together, these anniversary initiatives represent the most extensive lineup of official Pokémon experiences ever brought to the Philippines, giving Filipino fans an unprecedented opportunity to celebrate the Pokémon 30th Anniversary.

Pokémon RUN 30: Run into the Future with Pokémon!
Pokémon RUN is an interactive, themed running event where participants transform into Pokémon Trainers and step into an immersive Pokémon world. It is a fun-filled journey that blends adventure, collecting, and interactive challenges. To celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, Pokémon RUN will return on an unprecedented scale across multiple regions in Asia, inviting fans to celebrate the past, present, and future of Pokémon together.
Under the theme "Run into the Future with Pokémon!", Pokémon RUN 30: Philippines Edition will be held on October 3 - 4, 2026 at SM Mall of Asia.

Philippines' first limited-time Pokémon Center POP-UP STORE
The first-ever Pokémon Center POP-UP STORE at SM Mall of Asia to run from October 2026 to January 2027 will feature a wide range of products, including Pokémon Center Original merchandise, popular items such as trading cards and plushies, and more. In addition, special merchandise commemorating the 30th anniversary is scheduled to go on sale. Additionally, Pokémon Trading Card Game tutorial sessions and a gaming experience booth will be set up

PokéXciting! in Manila: Details Revealed!
The Pokémon Company is launching PokéXciting!, a large-scale party-style celebration across five cities in Asia, including Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, and Bangkok, bringing together entertainment, nostalgia, and interactive experiences across generations, making it one of the most anticipated Pokémon celebrations to date.
Taking place on 23 - 24 January 2027 at SM Mall of Asia, visitors can look forward to a vibrant lineup of entertainment including a special appearance by PokéXciting! Pikachu, a unique Pikachu, bringing vibrant party vibes to every city!
Throughout the event, guests can meet their favorite Pokémon during special Meet and Greet sessions and explore exclusive PokéXciting! merchandise, including the red-costumed PokéXciting! Pikachu. They can also experience the highly anticipated parade, where a wide variety of Pokémon march together in a lively musical procession, creating memorable moments for fans of all ages. As the celebration continues into the evening, guests can enjoy the High-Voltage Night Stage featuring PokéXciting! Pikachu, with energetic performances, danceable music, and spectacular stage production. Admission to the PokéXciting! in Manila remains free of charge for the public.
To enhance the excitement, Pokéxciting! Pikachu will appear not only in Manila but at events in each city, donning different-colored costume unique to each city. For Manila, it will debut in a vibrant red!
