Kabayan Hotel continues to be a refuge for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and genuine Filipino care for a quarter century and counting

For 25 years, Kabayan Hotel has stood as a welcoming refuge for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and genuine Filipino care in the heart of Pasay City. Since opening its doors in 2001 as a full-fledged budget hotel, the Pasay landmark has remained steadfast in its mission to provide guests with a safe, convenient, and affordable place to stay.

Through the years, Kabayan Hotel has become a trusted choice for travelers. Thanks to its strategic location and reliable service. Situated in Pasay City, the hotel is only minutes away from airports, transportation hubs, and popular destinations such as the SM Mall of Asia and Manila Ocean Park. Historic attractions including Rizal Park, Intramuros, and the National Museum of Natural History are also easily accessible.

These conveniences, combined with its heartfelt service, have made Kabayan Hotel a familiar and trusted home for many a balikbayan and OFW returning to the Philippines.

With its enduring tagline “Malapit sa Lahat. Maaasahan ng Lahat.”, Kabayan Hotel continues to embody what it has stood for since the beginning—a hotel that is accessible, dependable, and proudly Filipino.

Deluxe Redefined

In line with its 25th anniversary celebration, Kabayan Hotel is introducing a new line of Deluxe Rooms designed with today’s practical traveler in mind.

Thoughtfully configured to accommodate different travel needs, these rooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements such as double beds paired with pullout beds, making them ideal for small families, friends, or groups of three to four. The room layout maximizes both space and comfort while ensuring guests enjoy the convenience of modern amenities.

More importantly, the new Deluxe Rooms reinforce Kabayan Hotel’s long-standing promise: quality accommodations that remain affordable and accessible to all. By combining versatility with value, the hotel continues to provide travelers with practical options that do not compromise on comfort.
Mr. King shares how Kabayan Hotel came to be: a business that was pleasing to God’s eyes and aligned to righteousness

A journey of renewal

Kabayan Hotel’s story traces its roots to a remarkable transformation in 1992 when its founder, Wyden King, became a born again Christian and made a life-changing decision to close down his chain of hotels following a personal spiritual conviction. “We wanted to shift to a business that was pleasing to God’s eyes and aligned to righteousness, ” shared King. What followed was a journey of renewal—one that eventually led to the rebirth of the Pasay property in 2001 as Kabayan Hotel.

From the beginning, the vision was clear: to create a place where guests could experience the warmth and sincerity of Filipino hospitality while enjoying comfortable accommodations at a price within reach.

Over the past two decades, Kabayan Hotel has grown alongside the city it calls home. Its expansion along EDSA and the opening of new facilities and function venues in recent years have allowed it to welcome even more guests—from overseas Filipino workers returning home to families, business travelers, and tourists exploring the vibrant capital.

As it celebrates 25 years of service, Kabayan Hotel looks ahead with renewed purpose: to continue welcoming travelers with the warmth of a Filipino home while offering accommodations that remain practical, flexible, and affordable for everyone.
