Edmark’s Troika, Cafe Power Black & N4s: Turning the fight against obesity into a business opportunity

Over a span of two decades in the Multi-Level Marketing industry, Edmark has proven its brand in 28 countries with its International Standard Operation (ISO) certified products. As it continues to innovate new products, Edmark is now bringing the Philippines the all-new Troika, Café Power Black and N4S.

Troika is a premium gourmet coffee while Café Power Black lives up to its name as black coffee made from the best quality coffee beans and blended with ganoderma extracts. The N4s [pronounced as Enforce], made from sucralose, is a calorie-free sugar substitute. A sugar replacement, perfect for diabetics, N4s is up to 600 times sweeter than normal sugar.

Troika is blended with ginseng, tongkat ali and ganoderma extracts. Ginseng has been used for thousands of years to further improve the overall health of human being. Ancient Chinese herbal traditions also prescribe that ginseng is effective for enlightening the mind and increasing wisdom. Ginseng coffee such as Troika promotes vitality and good health by overcoming general fatigue and increasing strength.

On the other hand, Café Power Black is another delicious new coffee which boosts the immune system. This time, Ganoderma is blended with the best quality coffee beans. It has no artificial coloring, flavoring or preservative. It oxygenates the body and balances the body’s natural pH level, supports blood circulation and rejuvenates cell, plus it reduces blood pressure.

Malaysian manufacturer company Edmark is known worldwide for its quality food supplement such as the Splina Liquid Chloropyll, Shake Off and Spirulina. I’ve been to Edmark Malaysia once in 2011 where I witnessed how Edmark meticulously processes its products. (I wish to be back there soon to see the new Edmark manufacturing site!) Aside from the new coffee variants, Edmark has well-loved and classic coffees like Ginseng Coffee and Red Yeast Coffee.

POWER 4 (P4) HEALTHY AND SLIMMING PRODUCTS
On top of the highly anticipated new products, Edmark’s Power 4 (P4) Healthy and Slimming products have been a big hit across the country, giving people a chance to regain and reclaim their health through weight loss. With a string of individuals having succeeded in their weight loss journeys, the growing demand and escalating number of distributors have boosted the presence of Edmark in Philippines.
Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Lynden Valdez said, “We focus our efforts on increasing value to our consumers and reaching wider markets by subsequent introduction of new products.”

The Edmark business which has its roots planted first in the Asian continent has since took off in Africa with since 2008. Focusing its product range in weight loss and health, Edmark coined the P4 Lose to Win 90 Days Challenge which guides an individual’s weight loss journey with the Company’s P4 healthy slimming range of products. Barely half a year after opening in Philippines, Edmark kicked off the weight loss challenge, giving the Philippines people a platform to regain their health by overcoming obesity the Edmark way.

EDMARK SUCCESS STORY IN PHILIPPINES
Edmark’s journey in the Philippines began back in the year 1992 when our Founder and Chairman, Mr. Sam Low arrived in the country with the patented Super Slicer, promoting it through live product demonstrations at kiosks in shopping malls. Year 1999 was a game changing year for Edmark as they added a six-storey building in Quezon City’s business hub to their ownership on top of launching their network marketing business in the Philippines – the birth of Edmark’s network marketing arm, Edmark Philippines.

Freris Trading & Gen MDSE Ltd. Co., the live product demonstration arm under the umbrella of Edmark Group of Companies is supported by over 100 well-trained and enthusiastic live demonstrators stationed at over 60 kiosks across the Philippines. Forging a fruitful working relationship with SM Department Stores, Freris has over 20 kiosks in SM Malls alone, located in various cities of the country.
The arm of network marketing, Edmark Philippines, has grown from a single branch to 11 branches across the Philippines located in Alabang, Butuan, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iligan, Iloilo, Ozamiz, Palawan, Zamboanga, and finally Cubao, housing the headquarters of both the network marketing and the live product demonstration arms. Throughout the years, Edmark Philippines has expanded its workforce to serve
its fast-growing network of distributors, standing at over 55,300 active independent distributors across the country.

Parallel to the escalating demand of Edmark products, the manufacturing arm of Edmark Group of Companies, Edmark Industries has progressively expanded its world-class manufacturing facility. Standing on a 4.5-acre land with a total built-up area of over 250,000 sq. ft. with continuous product innovation, Edmark Industries steadily supports the surge in demand for Edmark products in the Philippines and around the world.

To further cater the flourishing market of the country, Edmark Philippines initiated the concept of ‘Movers’ in 2009, penetrating hard-to-reach rural areas of the Philippines through the assistance of over 30 movers to date. ‘Movers’ are independent distributors who have special contracts to represent the Company in carrying the products and offering them to other distributors while keeping track of their progress. Customer service is enhanced through ‘Movers’ as more distributors and consumers in remote areas will have easy access to Edmark products.

At the FAMAS Awards 2012, Founder and Chairman of Edmark, Mr. Sam Low was honored with the FAMAS Grand Award in recognition of his efforts in developing and producing entrepreneurs on top of providing jobs for Filipinos, both locally and abroad – being the first ever non-Filipino to have been presented with the accolade in the Philippines. With over 170 Filipino employees posted locally and overseas, based in the many countries Edmark is in, Edmark Group of Companies is blessed with a highly skilled and effective labour force, stemming its origins in the Philippines.
In line with Edmark’s efforts to forge working relationships with governments and corporations locally in the industry, Edmark Philippines joined the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines as a member in year 2015. Through such collaborative efforts with our friends in the industry, Edmark Philippines is able to contribute to the collective effort with various government agencies and the general public on the regulation and education of ethical and fraudulent practices of network marketing as an industry.

Building a robust national ICT infrastructure

The opportunities from digital innovations were accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic as limitations on mobility prompted citizens to accelerate migration to digital spaces. In the Philippines, these changes are evident in the growth of digital payment systems, online meeting platforms, electronic health services, online retail, direct delivery services, and many others. However, with increasing connectivity comes increasing cyber threats. That’s why efficient solutions and infrastructure are essential in combating cyber threats and ensuring business survival. Individually, Filipinos are susceptible to data breaches and privacy violations online. On a societal level, cyberattacks by state or non-state actors on critical infrastructure can undermine national security and impact economic activity. While cyber threats originate online, their consequences can manifest beyond the digital space into our physical lives. These kinds of attacks also have direct economic costs. In fact, f
