Arnold Reyes has mastered the art of transformative acting

Winning the Best Drama Supporting Actor at the recent 37th Star Awards for Television recently (for his performance in My Guardian Alien), Arnold Reyes is set to receive the Best Performance by Supporting Actor in the 21st Gawad TANGLAW to be held in December 17, 2025, for the same role.

Critics and fans alike believe Reyes would surely take home the same award again for his role in the recently concluded afternoon drama, Akusada.

The drama crime mystery series broadcasted by GMA Network, from June 30 to October 31, 2025, starred Andrea Torres in the title role together with Benjamin Alves and Lianne Valentin with the ensemble supporting cast consisting of Reyes, Shyr Valdez, Marco Masa, Ashley Sarmiento and Ahron Villena.

Playing Dennis, at first he was the nice guy - - the steady friend and the quiet one who seemed to really care about Carol (Torres' character). She was Carol’s “knight in shining armor” giving Carol the peace she deserved after all the chaos she'd gone through until the show dropped its biggest twist: Dennis is the real villain who was actually obsessed with Carol.

The versatile actor once again has proven his dynamic range and exceptional talent in the latest drama which heated up the afternoon prime for avid audiences. Stepping into the spotlight with compelling intensity, Reyes delivers a powerhouse performance that anchors the emotionally charged narrative.

Known for his formidable presence on stage, the acclaimed theater actor seamlessly transitions to the small screen, embodying complex characters with authenticity and depth. Whether portraying a conflicted hero burdened by moral dilemmas or a chilling antagonist driven by dark motives, Reyes commands every scene with nuanced precision. His ability to shift between shades of righteousness and villainy underscores his status as one of the industry’s most reliable and gifted performers.

With Akusada, Arnold Reyes not only cements his place in Philippine television but also reminds audiences of the raw power of transformative acting.
