From Merienda to Wine Nights: Bytes Brings a Fresh Twist to Filipino Dining

At the recent relaunch of Bytes, Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Manila introduced Pares | Cork & Comfort Dinner Pairing at Bytes, a curated dining experience where guests is guided through engaging tasting notes and pairing insights, showcasing how approachable wines can enhance Filipino comfort food. (This is priced at PHP 2,800 nett per person and is available every third Wednesday of the month.)

This writer got the privileged to be invited along with fellow journalist Alex and the one and only Bob Zozobrado, hotelier and marketing man par excellence, who is currently the CEO and General Manager of the country's Philippine Retirement Agency.

Notable dishes on the a la carte menu served to us were Adobong Liver Pâté, Molo Soup, Flaky Beef Empanada, Gourmet Tuyo Pasta, and Matcha Mango
Mousse Cake. The featured wine selection includes: Haussmann Chardonnay, Haussmann Merlot, Footprint Shiraz, and Growers Gate Moscato.

Fun, intimate dining with friends at Lanson's Bytes

It was my first time to have sipped and tasted four variety of table wines in one seating. Surprisingly, I did not get tipsy. The small serving, rather, the right bites of food we had, got further enhanced with the wine pairings. What a perfect light, yet filling dinner to cap a busy, stressful day!
