PAO holds jail visitation and decongestion program

Dagli itong sinundan, the following day, on June 27,  (10th leg) sa Manila City Jail Male Dorm at Manila City Jail Female Dorm; at sa Manila Youth Reception Center.

Ang PAO, ayon sa Republic Act No. 9406 (PAO law),  ay isa nang independent at autonomous agency attached to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for program and policy coordination. Ang Free Legal, Medical, Dental and Optical Mission is ay isinasagawa  nito sa iba’t ibang kulungan at detention centers sa buong bansa.

“The  program helps in unclogging court dockets, decongesting overcrowded correctional facilities and releasing inmates who have served the possible maximum sentence, in line with the directive of H. E. President Benigno S. Aquino III, to provide justice for all,” ayon kay Chief Acosta.
