ZOOCOBIA: LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Can you feel the love tonight? Definitely! As we lit our wishing lantern and watch it fly and fade out in the dark of the night. That was part of the post Valentine event, Zoocobia’s “LOVE IS IN THE AIR” held February 15, in Clark, Pampanga. Zoocobia has successfully brought back the much awaited Night Lantern Festival. Hundreds of wish lanterns were lighted up all together signifying that love conquers all, even the sky. Indeed, couples, family and friends, got enthralled as they ushered their lanterns – together with their wishes and dreams— fly up the sky. That was the culmination of the day’s event and tour of Zoocobia. Earlier, visitors, including us, print and online media, toured the 10-hectare fun zoo theme park. Though we arrived quite late – just on time for the sun set – we were able to catch up and enjoy some attractions like the Maze, Zoocology Museum, The Barn, Giant Slides and Birds of Paradise, a close encounter with different colorful birds nestled on tree br

Experience farm life at Paradizoo

Celebrating a special day? Try going out of town and experience farm life. That’s what I exactly did on my natal day. My husband and I love the cool and windy weather of Tagaytay. We used to visit some friends and their families at Mendez and sleep over. That was years back when we were still single. And while raising a family, we would take every opportunity to bring the kids to this cool, scenic destination, that is Tagaytay. With the kids grown up now, ages 23, 17, 14 and 11, we realized we haven’t been to Tagaytay as a family, in recent years. That’s why when Zoomanity’s invitation came in to visit Paradizoo, we dropped all other birthday plans and head off to Tagaytay.( Thanks Vance Madrid and Kerren Cernal for the invitation.) Paradizoo is the newest destination South of Manila (located at Km. 63 Brgy. Panungyan, Mendez, Cavite) and an affiliate of Residence Inn hotel and Mini Zoo in Tagaytay City. Paradizoo is a 10 hectare rolling terrain located at Mendez (15

Easy, healthy cooking with peas and lentils

DESPITE the holiday rush, Ideal Macaroni, the maker of Ideal gourmet pasta and now the sole distributor of the Easycook brand of beans, peas and lentils in Philippine market, took some time to invite media and online bloggers to a cooking demo intriguingly titled “Peas Be Unto You, and Lentils too!” Having read the benefits of these “superfoods,” I went out of my way, squeezed in to my tight schedule between work and family, merry-making and PMPC caroling, to attend the demo at Genting Star Tourism Academy in the Resorts World Manila Complex. First part of the program was a short tour of the posh tourism academy which is fast becoming the tourism training center of choice of many students and practitioners in this industry. The school is complete with facilities for actual training including its own mini casino! This is to make tourism graduates at par with their foreign counterparts, according to Dyan Fernandez, Senior Manager, Business Development, who accompanied the media

Jollibee pulled off the best Christmas party ever for 2013!

Together with members of the media – TV, print and online bloggers – and their respective families, Jollibee shared the Season of Joy with fun games and prizes at BCG’s Mind Museum. The year-end occasion also formally launched the holiday season’s treat which is the Jollibee Chickenjoy Bucket Treats! Members of families – from tots to teen-aged girls and boys and even grandmas – joined family games and won exciting prizes like Dancing Jollibee doll, GCs and Mind Museum entrance tickets! The party went livelier with the presence of ever smiling Jollibee mascot! Kids got so excited and instantly gravitated around Jollibee and got the thrill of their lives dancing with the most famous mascot in the Philippines! Showbiz’s dancing diva Regine Tolentino and her family also graced the party. They performed a zumba dance number to remind party-goers that they need to exercise even in the days of bingeing and merry-making. There’s no question how good Regine is in the dance floo
